Continuous conversation is the most demanding scenario. With typical use, meaning short questions through the day, a package lasts roughly three times longer.
You buy packages in the app via the App Store. What you pay converts directly into use of the AI model, settled against actual usage. Unused tokens stay in your account and never expire. You can check your balance by voice at any time.

What exactly do I pay for?
For actually using the AI voice assistant: your questions and answers (audio), analyzed images and processed text. The longer and more intensive the conversation, the higher the usage.
Do I pay when I'm not using the assistant?
No. You're only charged for actual AI sessions. When the app is open but you're not talking to the assistant, you don't use any balance.
Do tokens expire?
No. Unused tokens stay in your account and have no expiry date. You can top up once and come back to the app whenever you need it.
What's the difference between packages?
Only the size and the rate. Every package converts into the AI model's work the same way, and the bigger ones give you more time per dollar.
How do I top up?
In the app, via the App Store. When your balance runs out, the app suggests a top-up. Just confirm the purchase in Apple's system.
What is a top-up tied to?
To the Apple account signed in on your device. The purchase goes through the App Store, so your balance is linked to your Apple ID, not to a separate account with us.
How long does a top-up last?
A $4.99 package is about an hour of continuous conversation with the assistant, or about three hours of typical use, meaning short questions through the day. The other tiers scale proportionally.
Why isn't the app free?
You start with free tokens, and every answer after that is a real AI computing cost. Free apps usually pay for it with ads or your data, and we do neither. Free services like Be My Eyes rely on volunteers looking through your camera. Ariadne answers immediately, with no other person involved.
